Memory Monday: February 29, 2016

Happy Leap Day everyone!
Sorry for the radio silence on pretty much every where. I've been trying to keep up but life happens. Things are just got really busy for me with work and I'm trying to adjust to it. I've also been trying to regain some energy back as well, but it might take a while. :P

But I'll be trying to squeeze in some things in this week, if I can. So stay tuned!

WIP Wednesday: February 24, 2016

The Wheat scarf is a tiny bit longer, but not by much. I haven't been able to really work on it too much lately.

I didn't work on my cross-stitch project this week and didn't spin either. So I don't have any pictures of those. Just didn't feel like working on them this week. But I did work on one of the coloring books. I'll show that on the next episode.

On a non-crafty note, we seen the new Deadpool movie this past weekend. It was really funny, we had enjoyed it. If you don't mind cursing and love all the comic book based superhero movies then you need to see this movie. It's obviously not a movie for people who are sensitive/dislike heavy cursing and sexual content. It's definitively not a movie for kids, not at all.

WIP Wednesday: February 17, 2016

I've been working on the Harry Potter blanket today and I had finished up the Potions' Cauldron block.

So I don't have much to show with the new block. The new block is going to be the Wimbourne Wasp by Marie Wright. I'm doing the same garter stitch border instead of the seed stitch, so it can match the others. Here's the blanket so far:

I've also been working on my cross-stitch bookmark kit.

As you can see, I've got quite a bit done.

And I had spun a tiny bit today. Not too much to show, but here's what I do have.

FO Friday: February 12, 2016

I got a couple of things finished this week. The first is my Offhand Lace shawl bu Caitlin Ffrench .

I knitted it out of Lion Brand Homespun and on US 10 1/2 needles. It turned out amazing. I really love how the yarn worked up, with the color changing the yarn naturally did itself. I didn't have enough to finished it completely, I was only three rows away from being finished but I had to bind off early. But as soft as the yarn is, it was a pain in the butt to knit with. Luckily, the end product is awesome!

The second project I had finished, I actually finished it a few hours ago. A Bluebird of Happiness by Sara Elizabeth Kellner. It's a cute and fun little project!

I used the "never-ending" ball of Red Heart Super Saver in Sherbet Print and on US 4 needles.

WIP Wednesday: February 10, 2016

I got some work done on the Cabled Knit Cardigan today. I've finished the main body and divided for the fronts and back.

I'm not quite getting gauge. If I measures it right my gauge is a little big, but I'm not too worried about it. With it being a baby cardigan, it's ok that it's a little big. More time for the baby to use it! :)
I'm sure if I went down a needle size I would get gauge, but those needles are busy at he moment..at least I think they are...

I've also finally started to really work on my Flowers of the Month bookmark cross-stitch kit. The picture I'm about to show you is from a few days ago, so there has been a little bit more progress made on it since then.

Slowly but surely I'm getting some progress done on it.

Happy Crafting!

Regaining My Sanity

I totally forgot to post a Memory Monday post yesterday, so today's post will have TWO pictures to make up for that.  I didn't really do anything yesterday, so there isn't a reason why I didn't post. Just that time got away from me again.

Me wearing a hand knit hat!

Saturday. Jordan and I ran around town, just enjoying the day. We got a few cell phone pictures, because of course I forget my camera at home. The two pictures in this post is just a couple from that day.
Jordan and I. <3

I've hit that point where I'm tired of having a bunch of WIPs going at once. I go through this all the time, I'll want to cast on all the things then I just want to work on making one thing at a time.

I'll talk more about my projects tomorrow. (If I remember to post!)

Happy Crafting!

I've gotten a block finished on my Harry Potter blanket today!

It's the Deathly Hallows block, knitted on US 7 straight needles and out of Red Heart Super Saver in the Petal Pink colorway.

The blanket is slowly getting bigger!
