I got more yarn from Webs, so I can finish my hat. But I might end up ripping back again because of a mistake with the crown decreases. At first I wasn't going to rip it back, but the more I work on it and look at it, the more it bugs me. So it's in time out for a little bit right now until I can bring my self to rip back.

It's another short and cat filled episode for this week. I hope you enjoy it...well at least tolerate all the noises, hopefully the next episode will have less cats.
Happy Memorial Day to all the veterans that served and to the military that are still serving. Please everyone remember the real reason for this day, it's not to party and get drunk, it's to remember those we have lost.
Today also is Jordan and mine's five year dating anniversary. I can't believe it's been that long!
This is one of the prompts of the book I've been slowly working through for the past year and a half. I might post a couple that I've done that I'm happy with /comfortable with posting. I hope that you enjoy these and please give me feed back. Do you want to see more of these posts? Less? How was my writing? (Note: please be kind about it, I know I'm not going to be the greatest, I never was.) Please let me know in the comments.
You are a mid-level Greek deity, hoping to move up the ranks of Olympus. What are your powers, and how will you use them to impress Zeus and the others?
If I was a Greek deity, my power would be the power to control the weather on Earth. I would use that power to urge the human race into doing great things that would go down in history. There would be just one person that would do great things to change how everyone lived, who would get everyone in the world to realize all the terrible things they've been doing to each other and to/in the world. Of course, there will still be those people that do bad things in the world, but the good will out weigh the bad.
So I finally soaked my 7yaks fiber and it's all skeined up for you all to see. :)
I spun it up on my Sachet drop spindle. The spindle is now empty and I don't have anything to spin on it. I do have the three bags of fiber, but like I mentioned on the podcast I'm just wanting to spin that on my wheel. So we have to see when and what I will buy.
9. What is the least favorite thing you ever made?
Oy, this one kind of tough. I have many projects that are my least favorite so it's hard to say which one is my least favorite. I just have to say my first projects that I made when I was struggling with when I first start to knit.
If you would like to see a few of them, check out my Ravelry project page. I was actually on Ravelry during the beta but wasn't very active on it until a year or two later. You can tell I started to get the hang of it after a while. :)
I'm going to start doing something a little different with my WIP Wednesday posts.
Instead of listing everything that I work on, I'm just going to featured the project I've been working the most on. I don't want to feel like I have to get some work done on everything all the time. I just want to work on what I want to work on. It's also getting to the point where it's starting to feel like a chore to do these posts because of having to remember to take pictures of everything. And the post is called WIP Wednesday, not WIPs Wednesday, just saying.. :D
So today's WIP is my Family Tree Shawl
I finished the main body of the shawl (or part two, if you have the pattern). I started the two rows that set up for one of the sides. I'm really enjoying how this is working up and I love working on it, which is why it's showing up on this week's post.

Yarn: Knit Picks Palette in the Bark and Marine Heather colorways.
I can't wait until this is finished, I already love it and want to wear it. Even though it is made out of wool and it is currently in the 90s in my part of FL. :P
Sunday I had finished another little cross-stitch project!
It's now hanging in our bathroom, it makes it more cheery in there. :)
I also finished spinning up the 7yaks fiber, but it isn't off the spindle yet and hasn't been soaked. So it won't be in this FO Friday, but next week it will be. :)
"When Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron. Things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans."
My Review:
Last Sunday, Jordan and I went to see the new Avengers movie in one of our local theaters. Before we moved to FL Jordan had me watch all the previous Marvel movies to prepare for the first Avengers, and since then we've been really into them and see almost all of them (expect the second Captain America, hopefully we'll see it soon). The movie did not disappoint us at all. We loved it.
For a movie that was two hours and twelve minutes it didn't feel that long at all. There was just the right amount of action and comedy to keep the plot moving. All the jokes were hilarious and fir great with the characters and the scenes. This is a movie I would not mind seeing this in theaters again.
Before we seen the movie I seen a headline for an article on Yahoo that suggested that there was a death in the movie and that they had an interview with Joss Whedon, explaining the death. I didn't click on it because I didn't want to be spoiled but let's just say, the person who did die wasn't who I thought it would be, and the way the scenes leading up to that point made it seem like it was going to be that person,
The movie has two thumbs up from us! Go watch it and let me know what you thought about it.
I don't have much to show for this week but I'll post some pictures anyway.
My Mushroom cross-stitch is looking like a mushroom.
I got quite a bit of my 7yaks fiber spun up and only a little bit of fiber left to spin.
I also finished a square on my heavy weight patchwork blanket and a few on the light weight one, but it hasn't grown enough to take a picture of them this time.
My Of the Moon shawl has grown a little.
So has my English Rose Hat.
I also started a new block for my Harry Potter blanket today.
And I got a few rows done on my Family Tree Shawl.
"Leslie Rhoads may have grown up in a small town but is on the verge of becoming a supermodel in the Big Apple, when the 24-year-old is chosen to grace the cover of Style magazine and star in the controversial Passion Nights perfume ads. But before she can step into the stoplight, Leslie is assaulted by a drug gang and disfigured with a broken scotch bottle. Without her perfect face, she is lost and no amount of surgery can ever make her what she once was. Now trying to hide her face from the world, Leslie encounters more trouble as she seeks to rebuild her life: unrequited love, thought of suicide, and her assailant out to finish the job. Little does she know that a young girl named Angel will turn it all around, showing Leslie the joy and potential in life and the fact that love truly is blind."
Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Jordan and I went to see a movie last night after I got home from work. I'm going to try to do a review of the movie in a later post that might be up tomorrow. Let's see how well I can do a movie review. :)
