WIP Wednesday: November 25, 2015

This week's WIP is the Wasabi hat that I'm knitting out of some unknown stash yarn.

I'm only about 2 inches into the ribbing, but I'm liking the way it's knitting up. But I'm starting to worry that I may run out of yarn with this one, But we'll see. If I run out then I'll just frog this and make a headband out of the yarn. Let's hope this works out though.

What are you working on?

Happy Knitting!

FO Friday: November 20, 2015

I finally have an FO for this week!

This is the only Christmas gift that I'm making this year. I don't want another repeat of last year. (It took me well past Christmas to finish some presents and get them mail out.)

It's the Gallatin Scarf by Kris Basta

I did a little modification to it, but it wasn't on purpose at first. There are suppose to be some garter stitch rows but for some reason I didn't realize it until I was well into the scarf. But I really like it with it being all stockinette.

I've knitted this out of Red Heart Soft in the Pewter Grey colorway and on US 10 1/2 needles.

If you want to see my notes or would like to see in-progress pictures of it, just check out my project page for it here.

Have you finished anything this week?

If so, share it with me on the Ravelry group along with anything else you would like to share. :)

Happy Knitting!

WIP Wednesday: November 18, 2015

I'm getting really close to finishing the body of my Flax sweater. I'm at about 13 inches and just need a half of an inch more to go. I'm super excited to see how well it's turning out.

There is one little mistake. I had split a stitch and knitted two stitches into that split stitch. So I just did and SSK to get back to the stitch count I need. It doesn't bother me too much, and that part will most likely be in the back so it won't bother me too much.

What have you been working on this week?

Memory Monday: November 16, 2015

I hope that this Monday is treating everyone well.

I would like to send out my thoughts and prayers for Paris, such a horrible thing that has happened. I hope that everything will get better soon.

Jordan and I went to the mall's movie theater Saturday and seen the Minions movie, it was super cute and funny. I highly recommend it to anyone who want a great family movie to see.

I hope everyone has I great Monday.

Happy Crafting and Reading!

Focus Friday: November 13, 2015

Last Friday I talked  about how I wanted to drink more water and I have been! I'm pretty proud of myself. I've only had one soda this week and I don't think I have had a cup of tea yet. (But that is about to change in a few minutes.)
This week, I've just been focusing on trying to be more positive about stuff. Dark thoughts tend to cloud my mind and last month was pretty bad. So this past week I've been trying to keep myself in a happy mood and think good thoughts. It doesn't do anyone any good when someone isn't in their best mood. I guess that's one thing about reading The Secret that has stuck with me.

Today I'm reading The Witch's Daughter by Paula Brackston.

I hope you all are having a great, successful week!

WIP Wednesday: November 11, 2015

Today's WIP is a Barley hat.

This is my 5th Barley I have knitted. I made one for Jordan and me, and two for a friend (for her two sons). I'm making this one for charity and will be making more hats for charity. I have enough yarn in my stash to do this and a lot of the yarn is some that I rather use to make something for someone else. I know that someone will enjoy them more then I will.

I'm knitting this out of  Red Heart Super Saver in the Sherbet Print colorway and using my US size 7s Clover bamboo circulars.

The book I've been reading today is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. I'm not too sure if I like this book. I just think that the 'secret' is kind of bogus. But I'm trying to give it a chance, even though it's getting difficult to stay focused on reading it.

I hope everyone had a great Wednesday and I would like to thank all of our Veterans for their service. Thank you for being so brave.

Memory Monday: November 9, 2015

I meant to type up this post a lot earlier in the day, but time got away from me. It wasn't really a busy Monday, just a doctor's appointment. Other then that I pretty much just wasted the day away. I'm hoping to record a new episode tomorrow since Jordan will be home on Wednesday for Veteran's Day and he will be playing the new Fall Out 4 video game, (comes out tomorrow for those of you into video games) and he'll be playing that all day. So I don't want anymore back ground noise to the cats normal noise.

I hope everyone had a great Monday and I can't wait to tell you guys all about what I've been up to since the last podcast.

Happy Crafting!

Focus Friday: November 6, 2015

I just thought about having a post where I would talk about what I'm focusing on for the week, or have been focusing on during the week. These posts won't replace the FO Fridays, so please don't worry about that. I will still have those but I don't finish things as often as I would like. So I'll do these posts on the Fridays where I don't have any FOs. But lets get to what I've been focusing on for this week.
I've been trying to get back to drinking my water. At one point during the year I was doing pretty good, I was mostly drinking water but lately with everything that has been going through my mind it fell by the way side . As much as I love tea, I need to cut back on it and add more water. I'm also them out, trying to cut back on sodas too, I'm not completely cutting it out, because I know me and I will end up buying a soda here and there, but I'm hoping not to drink so much of it.
My goal is to a least get a bottle of water everyday and so far that is happening. Lets hope that I can keep this up.

What have you been focusing on?

Happy Friday!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Ever since I had first heard about J.K. Rowling writing the script for three movies based off of one of the two 'school books' from Harry Potter, I've been super excited. (It's a prequel to all eight Harry Potter movies.) I can't wait to see them and I was really happy to see the new official images from the set.
I had first heard about the pictures being reveal from, so that is the link where you'll find their article about the pictures! So check them out for yourself and tell me what you think. Are you as excited for the movie as I am?

Happy Movie Watching!

WIP Wednesday: November 4, 2015

The project that I'm giving my attention to today is my Harry Potter Blanket.

I'm still working on the Rita Steeker Animagus block. But I think that if I just focus on just this project for today, I'm sure I'll finish the block and start another block. I think I'm starting to run out of solid colors in my stash though. I'm going to have to look through everything to make sure I'm not repeating colors.

What are you working on?

Memory Monday: November 2, 2015

I hope you guys had a Happy Halloween. I had to work, sadly, but the mall I work in had their own trick-or-treating event. My store had actually ran out of candy only 30 minutes into it so I had to tell some bummed little kids that we ran out.
Earlier today, I had dragged myself out of the house and went to one of the local libraries that is close to us. And it shouldn't be surprising that I brought home some books. :) I'll talk more about them later in the week.

Sleepy Moka and Harry.

I've casted on a few new things since I recorded on Wednesday, so I have somethings to talk more about in the future. I've also been reading a lot of J.K. Rowling's The Casual Vacancy. I'm hoping that I'll finish it this week.
I hope everyone has a great, crafty week!
