Book Review: Art in America by Ron McLarty

When I first picked up this book, it was in a Dollar Tree. It caught my eye, of course it was because of the cover. But I was a little disappointed with the beginning, it was a slow start. But luckily I got hooked farther into the book. But if you like books about a starving author; trying to get his stories and plays out in the world and if you like anything about small towns then this is the book for you.

Book Review: Christopher and Alexandra by Maggie Gee

If you're a fan of Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel then this would be the book for you.
It's about a couple, who has been married for 12 years, that goes through a "vacation" together, leaving Christopher's, the husband, children (who are in their teens) home alone and spend the next 20 years traveling the world. But 25 years later, there are betrayals, deaths, and still some feelings left at the end of the book.
For me this was an OK book, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't the greatest. But I'll give this book another try in the future and see how I like it then.

Album Review: Fall Out Boy's Save Rock and Roll

Ever since I was in the 7th grade I have listened to Fall Out Boy. And when I had heard that they were taking a break a few years ago, I was bummed out. They were my favorite band and I thought they were done. But then they announced that they were releasing a new album April 15th I was excited to hear it and was hoping that it wasn't too different from their old albums, but I was surprised.
The album is probably my favorite out of all of them. They currently have the whole album streaming on their website, so go and listen to it. And I thought there was no hope for any new music, but they came out with a great album, that sounds different from songs that are out there.
Here's the link to their website:

Book Review: Field Study by Rachel Seiffert

For those of you who love to read short stories, then this book is for you. The stories range from historical to contemporary and domestic to international. They show different forms of the human behavior.
For me, I'm not much of a story story reader. These were really well written stories but for some reason I wasn't really into to this book. I didn't hate the book like the last one I finished but I'm not to crazy about. But I will keep this book for a little longer and will re-read it in the future to see how I would like it then.

Book Review: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers

The title of this book is misleading. It is NOT a heartbreaking work of staggering genius. This is poor excuse of a book. The author doesn't make any sense and keeps jumping from one topic to another, half the time I didn't even understand what he was talking about. I won't be reading this book a second time and will be getting rid of it as soon as I can. And the description on Goodreads says its a "hilarious and wildly inventive as well as a deeply heartfelt story of the love that holds a family together." This is a lie, his parents die of cancer...how is that hilarious? Read this book at your own risk.
