Thinking...

The past few days I've been knitting some cuffs or for a better word, bracelets, and the last night Jordan gave me an idea. Why don't I make my own pattern and publish it on Ravelry? So I'm currently working on it as we speak. Stay tuned.

Brainstorm Time.

So while I was looking at recipes on Pinterest today, I happen to see something about hamburgers, so I  had a great thought. Why don't I just make my own recipe? So here it is:

Loaded Sunday Burgers

Hamburger meat
Hamburger buns
1 slice of bread
1 egg
Onion powder
Emeril's Original Essence (seasoning salt)
Kraft's Hickory Smoke barbecue sauce
Kraft's Three Cheese with a touch of Philadelphia's cream cheese

Just mixed everything together in a large bowel and then grill them. :)

Enjoy!

RIP My Chemical Romance.

After 12 years of making great music; a mix of alternative, punk rock and pop. My Chemical Romance has decided to break up. They had many successful hits and they will be missed very much. I know I'm sad that they decided to end, but all good things come to end.

Here's an article that announced their break up:

On the Needles and Some Other Things.

While I was visiting my family last week, I took an easy and portable project with me. It's The Easy Lace Cowl by Donna Edgar. Of course this isn't the only WIP I have, so when I put it down, I would forget where I was in the pattern, so there is some hiccups in the first few rows, but I don't plan on this project being just like the one on the project page (to me mine doesn't look like lace, but that just me).
So to see all the details of my project just go to my Ravelry project page, I'm samashmilligan94 on Ravelry. Please feel free on PMing and/or friending me, I'll friend you back. Right now since I just started the blog, there is no group on Ravelry, and I'm not sure if I will start one.
I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day this Sunday, I was at the Gatornationals in Gainsville, FL, with Jordan, his dad and his dad's girl friend, and his brother and his brother's girl friend. I'm not a big fan of drag races, but it was really fun and I suggest that you look into it.

I'm Back.

Well, I'm  back from visiting my family. But my grandfather passed away last Sunday. He had his family by his side and he was in his own bed, so that's all that we could ask for. I made there in time to say good bye for the last time. He had a great military funeral and he is now with my grandmother in Heaven.

Book Review: Bruce Lee - Wisdom for the Way by Bruce Lee

Wisdom for the Way by Bruce Lee is a wonderful collection of quotes from Bruce Lee, his daughter collected his notes that he left behind. Bruce wrote down a lot of the things that is in this book. All the quotes are great and the pictures reflect back on his life. This a super quick read and a great book to flip through later.

Book Review: Treachery and Treason by Laura Anne Gilman

Treachery and Treason by Laura Anne Gilman is collection of short stories about, yes, treachery and treason. If you love short stories, then this is a perfect book for you. I know it would be a book that I will re-read in the future. A lot of the stories are set either in the future or on another planet and/or in space and some have some magic as well. They are great stories and easy to read. If you want a quick read then check out this book.

Book Review: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Sorry about this book review being a little late, I've had some family things going on, but here it is finally.
Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
Sixteen year old Jacob, grew up listening to his grandfather's stories about fighting monsters, living in an orphanage on an island, and all of his...peculiar friends. But Jacob thought that all the stories were just made up, but after seeing a terrifying creature just after his grandfather's death, he realizes that the stories were true. But after explaining everything that happened to his family and the cops he is made out to be crazy. But after sessions with his therapist, him and his father set out to the island his grandfather talks about. After searching the house that his grandfather had lived, he discovers what he was looking for.
This book is the start of a series, it's a wonderful book, full of amazing pictures and has a plot line that you wouldn't be able to put down. The second book should be publish in the spring of 2014. I highly suggest that you read this book. You'll be blown away. I know I was when I read it for the first time.
